What are powdered superfoods?

I think by now, most people are aware of the term “superfood”, especially if you have been a client of mine! I love them and want everyone to have them in their daily regimes.

Why?

Because they kick your butt into an energised, brain enhancing, hormonal balancing, motivated state like no other. Simply put they are nutritionally dense powerhouses that give our health a boost. Superfood powders are supercharged with the same incredible health benefits as their superfood counterparts, such as lucuma, which is a sweet-tasting version of an avocado. Or maqui, which is a Chilean wineberry full of natural goodness. Or camu camu as another fine example, which is a fruit native to Peru and Brazil. Its roughly equivalent in size to an extra-large grape! This mini powerful Amazonian fruit contains about 30 to 60 times more vitamin C than an entire orange! What’s more, it has a whole host of other vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. And that is why they are called ‘Super’.

The reason I love these superfood powders is not only for their supercharged power, but they are so easily added to everything from water to smoothies to soups and breakfast oats, making them a simple way to boost your nutritional intake.

Over the last decade or so, the word “superfood” has popped up more and more within the health community. It’s even in the Oxford English dictionary, much to my delight! It says this: A superfood is “a nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being.” And you cannot argue with that! There are so many superfoods to choose from, but in my following article I am going to share my Top 10 with you so you can decide which ones you fancy giving a try.

Remember this…Eating superfoods does a whole lot more for you than simply upping your daily vitamin intake: They’re great sources of minerals, fibre, omegas, proteins, and a whole host of other nutrients, too! With so much nutritional value packed into each food, eating them helps your body to function in balance and harmony. These foods do an extraordinary job of keeping your system running, with added improvements to your gut health, weight loss, energy levels, alertness, aging process, heart health, mood enhancements and energy!
